AIZUMOMEN MASK
AIZUMOMEN MASK
Aizumomen is cotton (“momen”) from the Aizu region, Fukushima prefecture. In the early 20th century, near the end of the Meiji period the region experienced a golden age in cotton production. The fabric is robust resulting in a thick and plump feel. The plain weave offers high resistance to shrinkage.
In order to utilize the dead stock of this white cotton that could not be turned into kimono or yukata, the WHITE MASK PROJECT was born to make masks out of the fabric.
In situations where the face mask is compulsory, we hope this mask could brighten your day.
